Grilled Peach & Avocado Salad

3 Tablespoons Dijon mustard
3 Tablespoons honey
1 clove minced garlic
salt and pepper
1/2 cup olive oil
3 cups baby arugula
1 cup basil leaves
1 cup flat leaf parsley
4 peaches (I like my peaches on the firm side)
1 avocado
1/2 cup mozzarella pearls or fresh mozzarella diced

Whisk together the Dijon, honey, garlic, salt, and pepper. Stream in the olive oil while whisking. Set aside. In a large bowl, toss together the baby arugula, basil leaves, and parsley.  Add the baby mozzarella. Put in the fridge. Preheat your grill to medium heat. Slice the peaches and remove the pit. Slice the avocado and brush both with olive oil. Season well with salt and pepper. Place the peaches and the avocados slice side down on the grill. Grill for a few minutes, you want some grill lines on the fruit. but you do not want them to turn to mush. Take the fruit off of the grill. Look how gorgeous the heat from the grill made the avocado. I want to eat this again right no. Slice the peaches and avocado and add to the salad bowl. Drizzle the dressing over. Toss lightly. Season with salt and pepper.

pencil basket is such a unique idea and the heart would be so cute to wrap jewellery presents in tissue paper and hide as a christmas decoration on your tree and the bracelets are just a cute extra =)

DIY - flower garland.

im going to go find a flower cut out this afternoon as i'd prefer not to cut out all the little flowers myself
but this would be so simple to make with a little thread =) and i'd say it wouldn't take long to do either.

christmas idea = you could also do silver stars or christmas trees - mirror paper would be cool too!

Styling Job.

Quick photo snaps from a styling job I did with Treasured Interiors last week in MacMasters Beach on the Central Coast. Lovely working with the girls for the week putting together 10 holiday apartments which might i say are divine and would be so peaceful to holiday in =) and the area is stunning, so untouched and covered in lovely trees and sooo sooo soo much greenery =) looking forward to working with the girls again in January for another big job on the Sunshine Coast.

PS. i toke the photos of course =)

Cinnamon Apples.

Donna Hay - Cinnamon Apples

my all time favourite donna hay recipe is with out a doubt her cinnamon apples, they are delicious but i think the reason i love them so much is because they are so simple to make and usually all the ingredients are already in the kitchen.

- Core 2 apples and cut into thick slices.
- Place in a medium non-stick frying pan over medium heat with 1 cinnamon stick, 25g butter, 2 tablespoons water and 2 tablespoons of maple syrup.
- Allow to simmer for 5 minutes each side or until soft.
- Place warm or cold apples on serving plates, serve with a generous spoonful of natural yoghurt.
- Sprinkle with brown sugar to serve.

DIY - lace candle holder.

"Add a little glam to your candles by adding lace. Wrap it around a glass enclosed votive. You can spice up the candles by using bold colors. Make sure the candle sits lower in the glass enclosure to avoid any hazards or even so, pick up a few battery operated votives for the same affect"
