Stylist. Susanna Vento.

its no secret that i love interiors, working in the industry and one day hope to be a stylist (be it magazine, advertising or set design) but i have been a little un inspired by the 'interior design' industry of late, mainly because it is a hard industry to be successful in and a bad time to really be trying to make a career out of it  ... this was until i stumbled across lovely stylist 'Susanna Vento' she has truly inspired me and started up my will power to make something of myself in the creative world again.

i find her styling unique and beautiful creative in an effortless style

manchester exploring.

today it snowed (surprise, surprise) it is very late march and this is extremely out of the ordinary, basically we've chosen to live in the UK in the coldest and longest winter they've had in 60 years! ... no word of a lie ... but the positive of this, the guys weren't able to work in the weather conditions and i already had the day off so we ventured down to West Didsbury and explored Burton Road, the coolest area i have come across since arriving 2 months ago.

luckily there were blue skies once we got south of the main city of manchester and i was able to get some good snaps. shop: moth style (which i just discovered is available online) was beautiful, lots of little local crafts including that pretty bangle we brought for someone special waiting at home.

shop: david gavin design, cute gifts but also better known for the wonderful interior design company that is run from this store by matthew johnson, which i had a lovely little chat with, he has sourced some wonderful wallpapers and fabrics in great original prints.

we ate at independent cafe bar: folk which was very creatively decorated and inspiring to hang in. and the food was delicious to say the least.

... ohh and check out my new fedora! i refuse to take it off, just absolutely love it (its grey felt)

treasured possessions.

...

I am hugely sorry for the lack of posts over the last 3 months, i went a little anti blog there for a while, thinking i could stand to part with my addiction ... but 3 months later i am craving it like no tomorrow. and never fear because 'total blur' is back and a lot of thought has gone into the new start to my blogging days, including fresh post ideas of new and exciting content ... first to fill you in, i have relocated to Manchester, in the U.K. Myself, my ever loved boyfriend Mitch and 2 of our oldest and closet friends Dan and Matt are spending the year abroad based in Manchester and planning many travel ventures through the UK and Europe. We already have a few trips under our belts but more about them later. Two months in, we have settled in well, and very much enjoying Manchester and all it has to offer. Today what i would love to share with you is before i left the wonderful place I call home, Australia, I had a change of rooms and would love to share with you what i created with my most treasured possessions to leave waiting for me when i arrive back home again.

In Manchester on a very cold snowing day i may missing this bright and light room and the large open spaces my family home has to offer. thats my wonderful youngest sister mucking around as i photographed the room, all artwork is my own.

... more soon about why we love manchester ...
