manchester exploring.

today it snowed (surprise, surprise) it is very late march and this is extremely out of the ordinary, basically we've chosen to live in the UK in the coldest and longest winter they've had in 60 years! ... no word of a lie ... but the positive of this, the guys weren't able to work in the weather conditions and i already had the day off so we ventured down to West Didsbury and explored Burton Road, the coolest area i have come across since arriving 2 months ago.

luckily there were blue skies once we got south of the main city of manchester and i was able to get some good snaps. shop: moth style (which i just discovered is available online) was beautiful, lots of little local crafts including that pretty bangle we brought for someone special waiting at home.

shop: david gavin design, cute gifts but also better known for the wonderful interior design company that is run from this store by matthew johnson, which i had a lovely little chat with, he has sourced some wonderful wallpapers and fabrics in great original prints.

we ate at independent cafe bar: folk which was very creatively decorated and inspiring to hang in. and the food was delicious to say the least.

... ohh and check out my new fedora! i refuse to take it off, just absolutely love it (its grey felt)
